The Council takes its decisions at its meetings by a majority of its members. The work of the student council is led by a president appointed by the student assembly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Student Council<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>discusses all matters relating to the rights and duties of students,<\/li>\n<li>discusses the Statute of the Faculty in the part related to the rights and duties of students, and gives an opinion on this to the competent authorities,<\/li>\n<li>gives an opinion on other general legal acts of the Faculty and other matters related to the rights and duties of students,<\/li>\n<li>may give an opinion on the candidate for dean and vice-dean of the Faculty,<\/li>\n<li>accepts and implements the program of extracurricular activities of students of the Faculty in cooperation with the student community,<\/li>\n<li>organizes elections of student representatives to the senate, academic assembly and other bodies and working bodies of the Faculty,<\/li>\n<li>gives an opinion on the pedagogical qualification of higher education teachers and higher education associates upon election to a higher title or upon re-election to a title,<\/li>\n<li>considers the self-evaluation report,<\/li>\n<li>participates in assessing and verifying the actual workload of students,<\/li>\n<li>takes care of the connection of the students of the Faculty with the student organizations in the Republic of Slovenia, the European Community and around the world and<\/li>\n<li>performs other tasks related to students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elections<\/strong><strong> to the Student Council of AMEU \u2013 ISH <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Elections to the AMEU &#8211; ISH Student Council are held in November or December on the basis of a call. Extracurricular activities are organized by the Student Council of AMEU &#8211; ISH, as well as various associations, clubs, etc. Students of the faculty also have at their disposal a wide range of extracurricular activities organized by the Student Council Alma Mater.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Social and community activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Introductory, New Year&#8217;s and closing social meetings and gatherings of students with professors, mentors, leadership of AMEU &#8211; ISH<\/li>\n<li>Professional and social excursions of students<\/li>\n<li>Tours of Slovenian cities with visiting foreign higher education teachers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Activities related to culture and art:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Active participation of students in various public events in the field of arts and culture (e.g. discussion evenings, exhibitions, Book Night events, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Visiting cultural monuments and getting acquainted with the cultural heritage of Slovenia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Projects and research outside the compulsory components of study programmes: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Public lectures and seminars related to students&#8217; projects outside of studies<\/li>\n<li>Co-organization of public lectures with societies, clubs, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Active participation of students with contributions at the AMEU\u2019s annual scientific conference with international participation &#8220;All about people&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Active participation of students in summer schools abroad, international scientific congresses, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Presentations (of proposals) of development projects of students outside their studies<\/li>\n<li>Applications for interdisciplinary professional student projects to public tenders (e. g.
